Me and my friend have started working on our own map. Will be similar to Defense of The Ancients. However, I we have run into a few problems. I have heard that the Frozen Throne has a much improved editor. I was wondering if anyone could list the improvements/additions of the editor? I have heard it has some sort of spell/ability editor built in, and this would be excellent if it was true. Mostly I will be just editing spells that are already in the game or creating new spells based off of previous spells. If TFT does not have any spell/ability editor already in it, what would you suggest as the base editor already out there? One of the problems we have already encountered is that when you make a unit a merchant that can sell items, the unit has some ground texture under him. I have heard you need some kind of trigger to get rid of this to make him look/act like a regular unit (i.e. being able to rotate him) If you know the trigger or what I need to do it would help a lot. Another question; is it possible to load classic maps in the TFT editor? It would help us a lot as we have already done quite a lot of work with the classic editor, but could definately use the new editor if it has spell editing. Thank You! |

the tft editor is much improved, it does come with an ability editor, and a better trigger system, and more customizable objects in general, along with a buttload of new units, the editor is defintely worth it. i have no experience with any third party editors, so i can't talk about any of them from experience. and i am pretty damn sure that u can take Classic maps and put them in the tft editor, i have done it with some of my maps and have not found any problems yet. bottom line: yes, get tft, even if u only get it for the editor |
