Has Blizzard Said Anything About This?

I was wondering if Blizzard has made any official statements about including the ability to change what the buffs of every spell actually do.

For example, being able to make life drain do drain mana as well, or make blizzard stun all units like thunderclap. I know this is possible with triggers, but I don't want to waste my time if Blizzard is going to make it easier in the future.

i once heard, that all the spells in the game are JASS, but they are uneditable. i sugest you learn jass, for i am 99.9999(and so on)% positive that they will NEVER EVER EVER allow them to be edited.
