lo all. i'm new to war3 mapping so sorry if this is a noob problem! I have made the Night Elf moon armor and moon strength upgrades be built from the human town hall/keep/castle and changed the requirements of levels 2 and 3 appropriately. however, you do not need to upgrade the town hall - as soon as level 1 is researched you can research level 2 then 3. what have I missed? |

I am positive you set one of the fields for the requirements of the upgrade levels wrong. But to know what you did wrong, i'd need to see your upgrade in question. Regards |

after much messing around I finally fixed the problem. I had similar problems with the forged swords upgrades. to fix the problem, I took the upgrade whose prerequisites were not working. I made a copy of it and pasted it to custom upgrades. that's it. it started working. It had something to do with changing the default requirements - if i added a fourth level and changed it's prerequisite from "<empty>" to "castle" it worked. If I changed the prerequisite from "castle" to "castle" it didn't count as changed and thus didn't work. I'm guessing this problem is related solely to multi-level upgrades combined with researching them at the building that is the prerequisite (or is an upgradable building itself maybe...) Either way, the problem is fixed. It seems very queer so someone may want to make a note of it in case they ever attempt the same thing. |
