Hello everyone! Shadow here, Im hope u all know me from sumthing or another I got a great idea for a map, but I have too many projects Im working on right now to do it myself, so I wanna poat the idea here, and hope someone makes it. Heres the deal: Its a war map, I guess u cud compare it to AOS, but its not really an AOS map... The map it a large(196x196 or higher)land mass in between water on 2 sides, not much water, just enough water so standing at the edge of it, u cant see the edge of the map. The terrain must be very complex and require strategy to navigate. No shitty AOS straight line terrain. And there should be plenty of trees, and LOS blockers for hiding and such. There should be pleny of single entrance areas for hiding. But there should also be open areas that the computer soldiers run thru and bunkers can be placed and such. The map itself is a forest with a mountainous area that takes up about a 4th of the island. However, make plenty of platues on the map for bunkers and stuff. At the start, each team chooses a class, Not just a hero(Each unit IS a hero), a class. Classes are things like Squad Leader, Engineer, Tactical squad, Sniper, Etc...(Add any more u like, its not my map) Each class is VERY specific to the map(No one gets allied vision, but they get good sight range) Gamplay: You pick your hero and enter the battlefeild. Your computer controlled allies are dropped my air dropship at drop points(Circles of power) and then move to attack the drop point opposite them on the enemy team. Each drop off will drop 13 gunners and 2 rocketeers. And there are 7 drop points evenly spaced along your beach. There are also defensive drop points on either end of the beach, where soldiers are dropped, patrol to the other end of the beach, and attack. The drops only occur every 60 seconds to avoid massing of units. Each team of soldiers must go through their unique part of the map. Your goal as a hero is to kill every enemy SOLDIER not building on the map. This prevents Hide the farm strategies. Since enemy soldiers are always heading to your base to get slaughtered, all you have to do really is cut off their attack. However, enemies wont be as weak as in AOS maps. They will require all the abilities you have to defeat without losing too much life. Enemy bunkers and gun towers will also be a challenge for you to ge through. And enemy heroes will try to stop u as well. The best way to win the map would be to have an engineer make AA guns at each drop point, killing the transports before they make their drops. One feature that must be used is one that kills One unit that makes it onto the enemy beach every 5 seconds. This way, if your computer soldiers make it to the enemy beach, they will not just build up to an unstoppable force and crush every enemy soldier that comes near. Sniper -Can go into sniping mode and lose much of his sight, but gets an owl scout based ability that has low sight, but not near no sight. He also gets 2 spells, Aimed Shot, and Snap shot. Shap shot is a cheap spell, but can miss(Carrion swarm with a long range) Snap shot would be good against stationary units and such. But his aimed shot wud be perfect for moving targets. It would cost more, but have no chance of missing, and slow(Cripple) the enemy...If he survives... The sniper when not sniping has many defencive abilities, such as hide.(Not wind walk tho) Engineer -Comes equiped well for fighting, as all units in the game are(No shitty engineers that dont stand a chance in a fight) but also has many build abilities. Engineers can build things like Gun Towers,Camps, Bunkers and AA Guns. Gun towers(Orc Towers) are fast firing, short ranged towers, good for placing where a unit wont see it until it is too late... Camps are shops, that sell things like grenades for heroes to buy. Also, when placed on a soldier trail, it will call soldiers to it, and convert them into more passive soldiers, with more damage, slower fire, and longer range(This type is by no means BETTER than the regular type, but it is more useful in different situations) Bunkers, are highly armored towers that shoot just as far as a regular unit, so they are perfect for taking out mindless computer soldiers. AA guns are the most specific buildings. They can be used to foil enemy airstrikes in certain locations, or they could be used for their main purpose... Gunning down enemy transports. None of the engineers buildings are controlled by the engineer himself. Instead, they start off as neutral, and must wait to be manned by soldiers that will be transported(By Air) to the site. If the transport is shot down, another will be sent.(ONE TRANSPORT OUT AT A TIME for trigger ease)Also, there are limits to how many bunkers (10), Gun Towers (10), AA Guns(15) and camps (5) that can be out at a time. Squad Leader -Is a solo unit. His main abilities involve setting markers for things(Use Wards). He can set an infantry marker, that will call a special forces foot soldier team to its location. Once there, they will go straight towards the enemy dropoff points, to avoid uselessness. And they will kill anythign at the marker, on the way to it, or anything they spot afterwards. Another ability is Air Strike. The squad leader can set Air Strike markers, which will be bombed one at a time(For trigger ease) until there are no more. The squad leaders markers can be set from afar, so he could set a bunker to be bombed without the hassle of running in and out(Which wud be dumb). The squad leader would also have survival skills. One would be an abiligty called canibalize(Not to be confused with the real one) Which would turn a units corpse into an Item called meat, which cud be used by the leader himself, or another player. Tactical Squad - Would be a team of 3 members. Each with a certain skill(Demolitions, Pyrotechnics and Arms). The three can work together in unison to set traps, raid encampments, and many other things. Demolitions experts are good at destroying defenceless buildings, holding off enemy forces, and making their own pahts through anything. Their abilities include Mines(Goblin land mines), Mortars, small buildings that once built, are allowed to have a target set for them, then the player loses control, and the mortar fires at that point until it is destroyed(There should be a max of 5 mortars out at a time, if there are 5 out, disable the spell). The demolitions expert, also gets the ability to set remote mines. which he can have 5 out at a time, and controls them(They have no sight benefits). They can be detonated at will(They destroy trees). The last spell of the demolitions expert is his grenade spell(damage spell). Demotitions experts dont have very good attack, but still fare well against computer soldiers. Pyrotechnics experts have fire based spells. The pandarens combo of drunken haze, and breath of fire are combined here. Gasoline(Drunken Haaze) Has no bad effects, but makes the enemy flamible is cast with a larger area of effect than normal. Ignite(Breath of fire) Ignites enemy units with gasoline, and damages all other enemies in the line of fire. He also has the ability to light fires whch damage units around them, and multiply until all fires are put out, or until there are too many fires too close, then they will all burn each other out(20 fires too close causes them all to die) The pyros last ability is Hells Fire. Based off doom, it damages an enemy unit intil it dies and burts into flameS(Becomes a fire) Which acts like a normal fire, and spreads. This spell can not be cast on heroes. The last soldier is the Arms Expert . He specializes in weapons and is the main fighter for the team. His Training Aura is like trueshot aura, and boosts nearby allied units attack. He also has crippling shot, which damages and stuns an enemy. He also has the ability to unleash his more rapid fire Assault Rifle(Metamorphasis) And do fast damage good at whiping out computer soldiers. Feel free to add any spells u want, after all.... I mnot the one making it. Any way, those r 4 team layouts, the map design, the map layout, and the victory condtions, I hope sumone is up to the challenge, I hope it isnt tooo hard for u guys. Good luck, maybe after I finish one of my current projects if no one takes this one up, PM me and Ill make this map myself. Edit: OMG LOOK HOW BIG MY POST IS!! [/color] |

Sounds good, actually me and RPGTrant are planning something quite similar, cept not futuristic. I wish they had more synonyms for sniper... |

I guess I really got the futuristic point across huh? I was thinking that a lack of futuristic models wud kidna kill my map, I dont want it to be like undead vs humans or nuthin, I wanted like helicopters flying in and dropping the units, and marines charging in and a ghost lookin sniper and junk... That sucks, but what ever, it wud still be great if sumone wud make it. I really like the idea of it.. Expecially the tactical squad... And hey, wud u guys beleive I thought of that map pretty much as I typed it Haha! Junithorn! lol, u funny Edit: Hey, Hm when editing I cant see yur name.. Ill just edit this again and put yur name HERE-->Pesmerga Care to give me sum details of this map u 2 are making? All the juidy details? Please Please? |

You dont have it make it futuristic, those undead airships would be cool for dropping units... riflemen, marine... |
