Fast Upgrades

Hello will someone edit the mpq file so that the human upgrades take 1 second... if anyone would i would apreciate it thanx

You can't just ask someone a favor like that. Try it yourself, and maybe ask more politely. It would be an .slk I assume.

diddnt mean to be rude, just hopeing someone could help me out with that.... im making and Altered warcraft and humans have fast build/research but i cant get reasearch to work i think i know what to do but i dont know how to do it just making it map specific and i dont wanna reinstall warcraft thats y i dont do it myself couse i dont wanna mess somthin up and have bros yellin at me :) so if anyone would please help me i would really apriciate it

change the extension on this to .slk, add it to you map and make sure you put it in units\




btw... could one of you admins add .slk to the allowed extension list?

soory, I made a mistake, upgradedata.slk is preloaded so you cant change the it :( sorry

Go to Unit Editor click on the unit and select build time. Much easier!

Öhm James Picard ? he wants to reduce the upgrade time not the time when a Unit is build ;)

yeah ive already edited units i just need the uprgrades if anyone knows a way i would really like them to tell me, or do it for me ;) anyway thanx for yoiur help so far everyone

Best I can figure is:

Event:
Unit - Unit owned by Player 1 Begins Research
Condition:
None?
Action:
Player - Set the Current Research level of (Researched Tech-Type) to X for Player 1

X being the upgraded value: 1, 2, 3

Try to work with that, see what you can come up with. I'm not even sure it will work correctly, but its the fastest way to an upgrade completed right away.

You can import the upgradedata.slk into war3patch and itll affect the map...but it will also affect every other map.

i did the trigger thing but it only works for first upgrade i need help to get it to work with others here is the trigger

Event
unit-a unit owned by player 1 red starts research

Condition
player-Researched is equal to iron forged swords (or any human 1)

Action
player-set iron forged swords to tech level 1

or somthin like that

Do one for every upgrade level.
