I'm trying to open war3xlocal.mpq with every extractor on this site and yet, for whatever reason it isn't found. I checked the Warcraft III directory and the D: drive but it isn't there... Maybe someone could be so kind as to attach war3xlocal.mpq so I could download to a place where I could find it?

It's not exactly the kind of file that you can attach. It's just under 43 megs - but more importantly, how on earth are you running the game without it? Perhaps you should try performing a search on your computer.

Hmm, actually I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run it without war3xlocal.mpq. After all, it's really just a super-.w3n file for Blizz's campaigns. I haven't tried yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work until you try to play a campaign (or even go to the campaigns menu).

However, what I really don't get is: how can you lose your war3xlocal.mpq?? I mean, it's not like it's a file you're likely to delete on accident.

I had already tried a search a couple of hours ago, and I found it lol. Now then; here's a real problem: I can't extract anything out of it. There are two maps really that I wanted. Being the 2 cinematics at the bottom of the folder inside the folder inside the Maps folder. They are War3XBonusCredits.w3x and War3XRegularCreditsIcs.w3x. If someone could attach those, I would be highly appreciative. :D

Yes this doesn't sound right. Unless of course your not using WinMPQ cause the MPQ encryption is different. Oh well here's the normal credits.

EDIT: yeah element_5 I meant compression is different, not encryption. I don't know why I was thinking encryption...

The MPQs are NOT "encrypted"
