What should this "room" be like? A serious level or just a place to show off some funny and interesting triggers n stuff? Perhaps some mini-game like connect 4? Edit: Regarding the "no game*** triggers", does that include "Set time of day to XX:XX" and "Turn time cycle on/off"? |

Oh It is trigger and variable names which CAN NOT start with Game* And you should not use set next map or victory. |

Ah, so you can't NAME stuff as "Game***". I see. Why is that? To avoid collisions if you add triggers later on, or? About the transitions between the world and our rooms, do we put those triggers in ourselves or is that something you do later when you get all the rooms? (I guess it's the latter). |

Yes it's to avoid collisions. No, you don't have to link the map on your own. And if it's a serious level or a funny place is your decision. |

Hmm, I just remembered something :\ For my system to work you will need variables... Lots of them and Since I'm not finished completely I don't know if There willl be more... But i will add a trigger which you can import later and a list of the current variables needed... If you are to lazy to type in 30 variables (You should be to lazy here, at least i wouldnt type em in by hand ^^) you might import them and i might add any new variables later. The list will get out later today so just terrain for now and wait with triggers since they will be gone if you use import triggers. So DON'T make any triggers :P You will be able to do the triggers later on. It's all my fault :( *Slaps himself* - Guess I don't get enough with sleep :P |

What do you mean by "have it in blp"? Can you use the buildt in loading screens and/or faders? |
| 08-08-2003, 04:37 PM | #9 |
Yes you can use the ingame ones BUT if you want to use custom ones you will have to convert the new one from tga to blp. Otherewise the size of the pics will be like 1 mb each instead of 80-100 kb each |
| 08-08-2003, 04:48 PM | #10 |
Oh, I see. Perhaps you should rephrase that condition to: "no custom loading screens / fade filters unless you have it in blp". |

Hmmmm....... I've been begging for like 4 days... I still need the triggers to link maps :) BTW: I will do this, don't get me wrong. |

Mech it's still not finished :P However waypoints seems to work very well now. So it is the quest system and 2 rpg features left (which will be finished tonight) and to raise number of supported maps to 40 instead of 20 :) When it's all done I will get it out to everyone. I would guess on that I have finished about 70-75 % at the moment, and the hardest task (waypoint system) is almost finished just some minor changes. Hang on ;) 1 or 2 days extra. |

Hmmm.... Well, PM me 1-2 days later. Hmmmm... Are we allowed to have a camera locking the character while going through the house? |
| 08-08-2003, 05:29 PM | #14 |
Yes you are allowed to do that ^^ |

Ok, if you haven't done any triggers or you feel that you can redo them because you dont want to type each variable in by hand. Then grab the variables.zip . Now in there you will have 4 files. One pic with the original values and one text file with the new + 2 trigger files. Extract the trigger files and open trigger window. Then import from the menu. The second way is writing from the TEXT file. It holds the correct array values. Then type all values in by hand in the variable editor NOTE: Third field (Initial Value) is always default. So no need to change that. |
