It's easy to get them into the game.

1. Make sure the skin you modded actually has a file. Make sure it's saved as a .blp format. Also, check to see which file it actually belongs in. (The Human knight for example comes from Textures\Knight.blp, whereas the sorceress comes from Units\human...)

2. Open up the map you wish to import the skinned model to.
3. Open the import manager
4. Click on the"import button" (arrow pointing left up on top of the import manager window)
5. Add the file you want
6. double click on the newly added file(s) <---(if you are adding more than 1) and then you'll see a new window.
7. Click on the "use custom path", and then the bar above it opens for typing.
8. This is where you would add the pathfile the skin model is from. (Knight=textures\knight.blp, that sorta thing)
Then save your map and exit.
9.Reload your map, and it should be there :)

NOTE: if you dont want to exit WE and reload your map (step 8-9) then put the .blp file in a folder within your Warcraft 3 Directory file (where all your warcraft 3 files are )

I hope this helps, and good luck!

Ok wtf??

This is what I did:

Downloaded a skin from http://metalplanet.org/war3editor/do...ownload&sid=8.

Created a test map.

Opened import manager, imported the skin, made the path or whatever the same as the acolyte.

I saved my map and exited.

When I opened it up again, NOTHING! Someone please explain it to me step by step!:(

Strange. Are you sure that the skinned acolyte is in .blp form? That might be the case, otherwise, I suggest PMing or talking to KDEWolf on AIM for help. Sorry I can't help much more than that :bgrun: Good luck though!

It could possible be the skins from the website, but I highly doubt it.

There is a screenshot for each one, obviously meaning they've already imported it, so it works.

There isn't anything wrong with the skin, so it must be your method of importing it. When you put the custom path in, make sure te end result doesn't look like this....

Textures\knight.blpknight.blp

Or something like that.

The acolyte full path is "Texures\Acoltye.blp"

Try it in-game and see if it shows up after importing and saving.

junithorn !
Unless it doesnt show up in game its possible nothings wrong, the majority of skins i import DO NOT show up in the editor.

Oh...haha! I'm such an idiot. I was making the custom path the model file. I'm going to see if this works.

LOL! Hope that works for you, otherwise, (this hit me this morning as I was slowling veging (wasting time) around) Did you skin the model of War3x's MPQ Acolyte? or the old plain war3 mpq's acolyte. That is a PROBLEM if you wish to actually have it in your game :D
