This is the second map I've ever made. I don't think you wanna see the first one.:ggani: Anyways, as far as I can tell, it's pretty much bug-free, but people complain that it's sucky because it's long and hard. They just can't keep their friggin' cars off the grass.:Heh: Anyways, tell me what you think, and report bugs if you find any.:gsmile: |

I deleted the above attachment. Download the one attached here, instead. I remembered that I forgot to fix a couple things when changing my map from 5 laps back to 3, cuz 5 is way too long. |

This may seem like I'm trying to be mean, but I assure you I'm not a mean person. I just want to give you an honest assetment of your map as it is. If I were to rate your map from a scale from 1 - 10, 10 being the greatest, I would rate this map an overall 3. To be fair I will explain why I feel this way. Terrain: the terrain is very simple and repetetive. You see the same stuff for the entire map for 3 long laps. It would be much more interesting with diverse terrain with many obsetcles along the way to perhaps gain an advantage over your opponents. Cinematics: I feel people would get tired of this after seeing it for the first time, You should add a skip option Gameplay: this is what I was most disapointed with. You just move a unit all around the map. You don't even have items like Mario-Kart to hinder other racers. If you want a really fun racing map, figure out how to use camera angles and movement keys to change the view so you have a 3rd person view from behind the racer so you'er actually controlling the race car with directional keys. Someone has already done this on a much smaller map, and it was actually pretty fun. My suggestion to you is to spice up the terrain, add the skip option for cinematics, completely revamp how you have your game set up using camera angles and movement key commands while adding cool unique items that you gather a long the way to hinder other races or by using skill (like shooting a turtle shell) These things may be beyond your skill, so you could ask for help for it. This was a nice effort though, however I can't imagine many people would find this map enjoyable. I'm sorry to put down your map so much, I just want to make sure you know how other people may react to it. |

No, that's fine. To be honest, I thought it may be a bit on the dull side, myself. I'll take note of those suggestions. Thanks. :ggani: I'm working on a Fallout 2 map, and then I'll probably go back and revamp this one, because by then I'll have more skill. I generally start out small, and then get better and better with new projects, and eventually remake the old, sucky ones when I have more skill. It's the same with everything I've made, be it maps, websites, images, or whatever. Thanks again for testing it. |
