The way I'm thinking right now, is we add a +1 damage ability to the hero. But assuming there is a limit on abilities that isn't a good idea. It also doesn't look very good if damage is 2-4 +1. Note that this is for Dark Crescent, and is the custom Strength stat modifier. Every 2 points it adds 1 damage. I could do it with upgrades, but that is alot of upgrades, and there are items that add to strength, so that doesn't work well either. Is there any other way? |

Base an upgrade off iron forged swords or whatever. Give it the effect attack damage bonus. |

But then there are items that add strength, if you get enough strength added, your "upgrade" would be added. Now when you drop the item, your strength will decrease, but you can't decrease an upgrade. |

you cant remove upgrades? i dunno. |

why dont do this... every time a hero gains a level, add a tome to his inventory that add 2 in strenght, this way u could do it or ? |

-_- read the first damn post. It isn't the regular stat system. There are 7 stats in this mod. They all have to be run by triggers.... |

frye the limit to abilities is from my experience is greater then 256, How much higher? Beats me but its up there. I know this because I added CS to a unit 256 times in the SLK. It's hillarious watching Cs overlap and him do like 5000+ damage. Edit: Realized a problem if you remove +2 attack bonus via trigger all +2 attack bonuses will be removed. I think your ****ed with making a primary stat handle everything. As for upping HP the easy way is find out the guys current HP, find out what % the bonus is, then set him to a nuetral unused charachter set the players handicap to that 100+bonus. Set the unit back to its owner, and lower the handicap for the nuetral unused player. This can be done seemlessly if you make everyone ally and have full unit control shared with the nuetral player so you won't drop selection when it is changed to that player for the split second the trigger is run. |

No.... that can't be more wrong. It works perfectly. I even re-tested it after you said that. Not gonna happen. And I said I don't want to ADD an ability that ADDS damage, otherwise it will show up as 5-10+1 damage, instead of 6-11. Just a technicallity I wanted cleared up if possible. |

Precisely, permanent life et damage gain items doesn't show as +n. |

They would work, but you can't add/remove them, they only work if they're used on the hero, kinda like a tome...(so I suppose you'd have to have +1 dmg and -1 dmg...) |

Krakou where is the permanent damage gain item? |
| 08-14-2003, 01:42 PM | #14 |
Go to abilities and search for "Item Permanent Damage Gain" I dunno if a regular item has this abilitie but you can easily create a tome with it. And yes to reduce damage you nead negative damage abilities. |

There is no such ability. Not in my AbilityData.slk, not in the MPQ's AbilityData.slk (1.12) |
