Greets. I'm just starting to deal with the AI editor included with the TFT WE. I'm just rather bumbling around at the moment, and I was wondering if anyone had put together anything that explained the general process of using the AI editor for custom units with custom skills, as well as what orders to give the AI and how to enable an AI for a player during the game. Frankly, I'm not sure what kinds of things I need to learn, or I'd be able to ask more guiding questions. I appreciate any help you can give me. |

Then post it in French, if that's what you've got. I'll figure out how to read that somehow. |

Well, here it is, roughly translated to English. I'm still sorting through it to pick up the parts that I want. Most particularly, I'm having difficulty trying to feed it custom heros and custom hero abilities. If you've got a short answer on how to do that, it'd be helpful. :infth: Edit: In the translation, I take "Fray" to be referring to melee and "Scenario" to be referring to campaign. Additionally, when I say I'm using custom heros, I'm actually just using the original set of 4 heros for each race, heavily modified. Does that increase or decrease the complexity of my AI? |

"If you've got a short answer on how to do that, it'd be helpful." It's pretty easy to use custom things... you just have to import it through the command "import" in "Test Configuration" Then, when a unit is imported in your IA, you can indicate the AI to build it, just go in "special" when you select units... "Edit: In the translation, I take "Fray" to be referring to melee and "Scenario" to be referring to campaign." If you want :) "Additionally, when I say I'm using custom heros, I'm actually just using the original set of 4 heros for each race, heavily modified. Does that increase or decrease the complexity of my AI?" Héhé actually i don't know how you'll be able to tell the Heroes of the AI to teach the new powers... that's a little problem... the only way to do that I think, is to edit your AI script once it's almost finished and if you know a bit the JASS language, you'll find how to do that... But it won't be easy for you to do that... and i can't help you any further... sorry... |
