Not really Warcraft 3 news, but a security vulnerability that users running Windows 2000/XP should be made aware of. Basically it can allow the person to take over your computer. The symptoms are your computer mysteriously reseting with an RPC error. Further details can be found here along with the patch. People will be fine with the patch, but we've had a couple of instances today and preventing is always better then curing. ~kharma If you are infected or think you are, please run this removal tool before applying the M$ patch. If your system keeps getting reinfected before you can download the patch, goto start->run->cmd.exe then type shutdown /a <-- This command will abort the rpc 30 second shutdown that is part of the infection process, and should give you time to apply the patch from microsoft. -StonedStoopid |

Guest | I, not long ago, as well obtained this worm. The cursed thing plagued my computer, nearly making me insane with the unbelievably ridiculous load times and uncountable amount of crashes. Thank God for this patch. |

Okay, firstly, this worm effectively trashes your RPC. Second, other than that, it does nothing. Other than initiate a times Distrubeted Denial of Service on MS Windows update. Hate microsoft? Re-install the nice worm before this weeked. |
