Well I want to learn how to skin, I have average skills with PSP8 and Photoshop6. I tried to skin before TFT came out, like back in january, but I got caught up in school work and didn't have much time to learn. Anyways I know alot of you will probably flame me and tell me to read tutorials or older post but it would be nice if you could just help me. Anyways I need to know which tools I need to edit skins, I know there are tutorials but I am worried some of them might tell info that is defective due to TFT or patches, plus it would be better to get info from skinners anyways... These are the things I have: -PSP 8 -Photoshop 6 -Warcraft TFT -World Editor I looked through W3 folder but I can't find the image files or skins, I know that in some games you need extractors like in NHL games... Anyways I will use Kiloz tuturiol for skinning but I need to know which tools to use, which tools are the best and how to use them. Please help... |

*BUMP* Okay this is lame, I bumped my own topic, but I got a prob now When I open war3.mpq in my image extractor 2 I don't get half the units Like say for human unit directory I don't get units like footmen, steam tank, knight, ext. Is there a way I can view the other units? It seems like I am only getting a list of expansion changes... Edit: These are the tools I got now -MPQ2k -WC3 Image Extractor 2 I trying to follow Pencil Gods tutorial but I stuck at problem I mentioned. And do I need anything else? |

k to start off u need image extractor, adobe, and wc3. open up image extractor go to view then search for your skin. like put demonhunter. find the right blp save it as a tga. edit it in adobe then save. then u go back to image extractor and save it as a blp. then import it into the map if you dont know how to do they say so. |

Thx for help, I guess I have the right tools, but now I open the wc3 mpq and I can only find half the stuff, like I can't find footman, knight, skink, PENGUIN!!?!? |

open wc3 image extractor and go view then go to seach then type in footman or whatever unit ur searching for. some units use their beta names so u might need to look around |

Thanks, I can find the units like footman and such now through search. But I still can't find skinks and penguins and other less common units. I really want to do the penguin as my first skin, it's very simple. I want to add armor to the penguin but I cannot find it. If you find the filename please tell me... Edit: Is there anyways to find out the units filenames through world editor? That would make things easier to find.... |

make sure u open the war3x.mpq when ur looking for tft units |
