Greetings.. it's been quite a while since I posted here.. and that is part of the reason I'm here now. Back in november 2002, I had a functional MPQ for the campaign I was working on, but due to various reasons, I had to abort the work in december. Now, after all these patches, it seems I can't run it properly anymore, and it seemed obvious it wouldn't work. My question is, is there an easy way to convert old files, for instance the AbilityData which it seems to complain about? Or do I have to extract the new AbilityData and make the appropriate changes once more? Thanks in advance for your aid in this matter. |

I should add, I used the new War3Patch as a base and added the relevant files, and now War3 at least starts up, but I can't start up any map (even melee ones) and it won't show the player controller dialog for the maps.. As well, viewing the new War3Patch with WinMPQ just shows a lot of nonsense-named files, do I need a new listfile or something to that effect? |

Thanks! That shows some of the files, but many are still "unknowns." Are these some sort of "in preparation of TFT" things that were added recently? I should've mentioned earlier if wasn't apparent, that I'm using RoC without the expansion still. |

If you use RoC 1.10 or higher, the SLK files and the Profile (TXT files for Units, Items, Abilities) is the same as on TFT. Even the new stuff is added. The new stuff is marked with version 1 (RoC is version 0), so that it is only available on TFT. About the SLKs: You have to redo your changes, but you can copy most of it. Just take a look, there are some new columns, while others have been removed. Check SLK/Object Editing Forum for detail about converting the SLKs. |

Yeah, I got it all working again :) Thanks for your help! I'm glad someone has been paying attention to the modding scene for the last half year ;) |
