Yes, you haven't misunderstood!
I've started creating a system that will let a hero change his appearence when he puts on an armor or a helm or takes a sword etc.! Here's the first results.
It is just a test map. Nevermind the leather armor's skin, I made it after 1 minute and that's not important at all.

This system will find it's place in Twilight Of The Gods. I'll continue developing it and with a totally new expanded inventory system it can kick **** out of all wc3 RPGs created before! :gsmile:

Mainly I plan to make 3 types of that kind of items: armor, helms and weapons. If everything will be fine maybe I'll even make gloves and boots and separate the weapons so you will be able to carry 1.just single-handed weapon, 2.single-handed weapon with a sword, 3.two-handed weapon, 4.two single-handed weapons.

Oh, and please don't steal. ;)

Errr.... I hope you can make a version that is better than this.

I'm guessing it was just a model of the chest with a changed color. Which is pretty straight forward. Dark Crescent doesn't use this system right now because we don't have a modellor, but if you have one, then this is easy to do. You were developping a trigger to.... special effect a model on a hero? And create a model?

Maybe I'm sounding harsh, but this is minor work.

It's minor work cuz it's only a crappy test map to show how it works. And I'm doing everything by myself, I'm going to make lots of high-detailed armor, weapons, helms and stuff, and I'll have to make several edited copies of each one to fit different characters. I know that the system itself is very simple, but when finished it'll kick asses.

I prefer the sig picture :D

Anyway, won't this system double the size of the map at least? I'm not sure it's worth it for just appearance.

I just wonder why you do something like that?
If u are that interrested in doing models and skins, you could make normal skins.

I'm still looking for some cute sorceress' or Jainas and so on for rpgs! That would be WAY better than doing stuff like armors and so on!
