Howdy again -- I've had a couple of threads up on the subject of buildup of lag, and this is yet another. After trying a few things I've got a new theory. Although I have now virtually eliminated all periodic triggers, I have one regular trigger that runs with the event "a unit owned by player N is attacked". That player has lots of units that are attacked, and new units are attacked all game. I'm thinking perhaps this trigger is even worse than a rapid periodic trigger -- what do you guys think? Could that be the source of my lag buildup problem? |

Yes, I do think that would take a lot of memory or whatever. D you need it like that or can it be changed? |

I'm going to change it -- it was an old trigger I didn't really need anymore is the funny part...I kept overlooking it because it was not a periodic event. I just wanted to know if some of you expert types thought this could be my problem 8) |

I've got a bunch of 'unit dies' triggers, and they tend to lag my game up a bit. The bugger is that they are needed, but I think it can be handled alright... |

You build up lag often...possibly its just your computer or horrible triggering. |

Basiclly almost all triggers, custom abilties, units, ect. cause lag. There are many things we can do to prevent lag. Honestly I think blizzard needs to add a few more Event triggers, so you dont have to use Periodic Time Elaspe. Well thats my 2bits. |

*all* my units are custom, and most of the hero abilities too....that's probably not helping. I'm really far along on this project actually, but I've been spending the past week chasing performance. What a pain 8) |
