There's a map protector that deletes the trigger data file for worldedit... I think the guy was trying to ask if there's a way to replace that. :)

Just replace it with a blank file. Doing so will not allow trigger editing in WE, but it will make the map openable.

Theres a damn good reason why we SHOULD NOT unprotect maps, becuase we dont want 1000 version of a ****ing map, umm like TOWER DEFENSE or MAULS... **** them.. and who ever modifys map instead of makin gtheir own are ****ing gay, respect peoples maps and dont touch them you noobs

Such discussion is not wanted here. Map protecters are here to make sure that no one else can steal someones map.
If you have locked yourself out of your map, then I am sorry for you, but it's your own fault. Always make a backup.
