You might read this thread first: http://forum.warcraftiii.net/showthr...5&pagenumber=1 But my bottom line question is: Is there a way of using milkshape so that you can save a model file that can be used through first hand or second hand (through converting the saved file with another program to another format) AND that will SAVE THE TEXTURE COORDINATES of the model? Currently when saving to OBJ and converting to MDX, the texture coordinates mess up, making the skin all wrong. Thanks in advance. |

The OBJ doesn't store texture coordinates. A file that is also generated, a MTL, I believe, contains that information. But don't worry about that. Use kdub's exporter. http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...threadid=11711 |

Alright Just one problem, I got the WarCraft III MDL exported and all that stuff but, this file doesn't work: 3. Yobgul's Warcraft III File Converter (in the downloads section at http://www.wc3campaigns.com) When I extract it to the WarCraft III directory and lets it replace the old War3.exe it says it couldn't find line 744 in War3.dll Help?:mtk: I have TFT by the way **Edit Ok... seems I need a fresh install of WarCraft III. So I'll get to that later. But gah... still. Perhaps there is some easier solution? |

Stupid question, but I will ask anyhow. Is there a way of getting a new install of WarCraft III without deleting the old one? |

I got the Yobgul's program to work now, but then another problem arised. Whatever file I open when I click the big "Load File" button gives an "unknown file type" message, even though it's of the valid file extension (mdl, mdx, blp). The files I tried to load was a WarCraft III mdl exported with kdub's plugin and a simple blp image. So... anyone got the solution to this? |
