When you use the game cache function where is the file saved to? I can't find the file in my warcraft 3 folder. I think if you know where the file is there could be a chance to use it on battle.net? Is it the map the file is saved to? |

yes they do, and that wasn't my question. Game cache works in the same map in the same game you created on b.net |

I'm not sure where. As far as I can tell, it's not saved anywhere as a file, unless it is a Blizzard-style one. However, it does exist, and you can only find it if you use a memory editing program like WinHack. Even then, Blizzard keeps you from really editing it. |

No cache doesn't work at all on bnet, period. |

Actually, it could be done, if you check and take the memory string information like your program takes it from a variable. In the other host, I almost found how it works with WinHack. It will work with anything that exposes the raw information to the memory. It needs only to have the proper program find and harvest the information, and then, more difficulty, restore it, when prompted. |

Game Cache works on b-net but it erases after map ends, so maybe if you knew where it was, you could copy it somewhere else while playing map still. Then you could shove it back in somehow when you play your map again sometime. I know it works because I saved my Hero during gameplay, then I'd raise the Heroes stats or whatnot so that its different than when I saved. Then I activated the trigger that reloads the saved Hero and it went back to the way it was. If you could find a way to get the cache file out of whereever it is and a way to put it back in when you load map, we could get some Hero loading going on. |

Did you end the game and then restart it after saving your cache before you tested it again? It remembers the cache information until you quit the game. |

The Cache doesn't work after game ends, but couldn't there be some way to copy the Cache right before you end game? Then you could find a way to put the copy into the map once you host again. |
