You have a second version already? AWESOME! I'm going to try it for sure, and I'll get back to you when I've played it though at least once. |

I love this map! Keep Up The Good Work!! :D :D :D |

Awesome work! It was great! It's good it cut it down to a random 5 games, because doing all of them became boring after awhile. My favorite was the one where you go through the town and kill the creeps. Unfortunately, I didn't get that one. Maybe you should have an area where you can personally pick the ones you wish to do, well, pick them as a team, that is. |

There is a way to select the level, but I didn't want to reveal it, because, well, it doesnt really work...Since you can't really play the same levels twice and all... |

eek! I tried creating one game some time ago along the same lines. I called it "Rifleman tourney" and it had a few stages... guys running pass... then the "shoot the disc" round and stuff... but my disk got formatted and i lost it... eek!!! Don't worry mine wasn't good like urs :P Anyway... a few things I used in my map which you may want to. 1) Right click instead of selection. Right now, the left clicking thing works on selection. You can (hehe) select a big box... and it'll hit a random object in that big box without you needing to aim. I used right click as gun by... -select unit - if unit is issued order targeting unit do someting - If unit is issued order targeting point juz attack a "dummy" that takes hits This way I could Define the refire rate by replacing "do something" with "order unit to attack unit". I could also count the number of misses by asking unit to attack the dummy unit if right-click doesn't hit anything else. 2) Things pop up game! Like popup targets! Targets pop up and vanish after a few seconds. Funfunfun!! Juz some ideas you might want to use :D Great map keep up the good work!!! |

Well, about the right-click thing...it would be possible, but...there are too many problems. First, if you accidentally left-clicked a unit, you would lose your "gun" and wouldn't be able to shoot anymore... 2, we all know that the average b.neter has a very low attention span, and if the map has any big changes, they'll just qualify it of "gay" and leave. 3, I would have to rework every single trigger in the game, and I'd rather spend that time making new levels instead of making that kind of change in the triggers. Sorry And for your "pop-up" level, I'll consider it. If you mean something sort of like the level with the wardens, I could do it. |

I love this! Although I would prefer more mini-games in it 0_o |

Good news for everyone: 2.2 will be out soon! Now that I got a system for making new levels, it's incredibly easy to implement! I already have 2 new levels down, and I plan to finish 2.2 the day after tomorrow! ^_^ |

Maybe you should add a blood effect... And lower the possibility of a crotch hit :D |

Well, I feel a bit different about this game. Perhaps it would have been cooler playing multi, not sure...but, playing in single, here were some things I noticed. 1. You can click and drag and select any unit, this will still count as selecting. One the first lvl I played with the shoot the blue spot, I accidently dragged and I scored my points and had to wait out the timer. The next lvl was the missile one, the same thing works there, even though clicking seemed to work a little faster. The next time was the shoot the warden, not to exciting. To easy. 2. Once you disabled the mouse, I couldn't pause the game...no biggy if you plan to finish, but... I admit I got only to the bonus round where you shoot the boxes and pray your score doesn't blow up, but it wasn't that exciting to me and it felt very easy. However, don't take this the wrong way. I admire the work you put into it to set it up and the gameplay I'm sure will appeal to many people, as has been proven by the previous post in this thread. |

GJ Pretty cool game to play, quite fun though i have a few issues; More games!!, make it the thing last longer The lucky box things a bit harsh, reduce the magnitude of effects plz. Apart from that this map shows a lot of promise, kepp it up |

Yeah click and drag... that's the problem. But I know how hard it is to change the system, and it doesn't really help by clicking and dragging (Other than that bullet level... man I clicked and dragged my way through with ease). That's beside the point. Anyway, I wanted to propose an idea, to you, to the rest of the community maybe. Posting in this thread cos it's also along the idea of an arcade shoot-em. You have point blank... why not create Virtual cop? or time crisis? I'm not insane. I did it. It just sucked and tft beta killed my maps. Basically, it's just like point blank (the game, not the term), with moving cameras, and enemies that attack you, and health. And time crisis includes the "HIDE!!!!" element. Steps to creating it? I'll outline it for anyone interested. 1) Create camera at ground level. I am so obvious. 2) Create your unit behind the camera. This unit will be attacked at, and since it's behind your camera it seems the enemies are attacking you. That unit can also help be your "health bar". It is not advisable for it to be your attacker or your "right clicker" since that will make it move away, and you have to create a stupid region to make it stay, which sucks. 3) Create enemies (but that's only an opinion) Kekeke that's all if you're looking along the lines of Virtua cop. Of course, that's only ONE stage. You'll probably have to create tens of cameras and a few hundred enemies at proper locations and maps. Now now, on to the "time crisis" hiding system. Do all you did in the "Virtua cop" system, and do the next 4) Create a camera for when your player hides. 5) Now he has to do SOMETHING to hide. I have 3 suggestions. Either - you are selecting a unit, and that unit presses "Hold position" or "stop" - You are selecting a shop. Buy an item. - You are selecting a building?!! Now that's retarded - The player presses an arrow key. TFT allows arrow-key commands. YAY!!!! Anyway, when the player does that, move him into the "Hiding camera", and make "your unit" invulnerable, and turn off the trigger that commands the enemies to periodically attack you. When you want to "unhide", just do the opposite. Turn on trigger, make unit vulnerable... blahblahblah. Posting here cos it's along the lines of arcade shoot-em in wc3. If you're confused, I'll post a little demo map to show. If you wanna do it, you have my full support. I wanna make one too, but not until november. Cos Time is Mana. Mana is the root of all evil. Mana square = evil That's why mana comes in spheres. |
