OK...Basically i want to do some skinning, and i need to know how, for some reason i can't figure it out, i've used the tutorials and the help me's and all that good stuff but i can't get it to work... Any general step by step process would be very helpful -Does unzipping to the war3 directory make things easier? Whenever i tried to get it to work i got some graphics utility problem, saying something along the lines of my module could not be found ? or something to that effect. Yeah just basically a newb that wants to start skinning on photoshop 7. ! |

First u need either these two programs. Warcraft III Viewer or Image Extractor II. Use either of those two programs to extract a blp and convert to tga. Open the tga in adobe photoshop 7.0. Fool around with ur skin. Once ur satisfied use Warcraft III Viewer or Image Extractor to convert it to blp. The tga file must be saved in 32bit format. Import it into your map and see how it looks. |
