Hey, I want to try and make a skill that teleports a target unti (friendly or foe) to the hero casting the spell. Ive tried basing it off of scroll of town portal and staff of teleportation, but Im not having much luck. Perhaps Im missing something. Any help guys? |

Guest | They allready have a spell that does that... Ummm if you look in the ROC campaign you get an item that lets you teleport your units to you. |

Base it of "Amulet of Recall" which already does the same thing. But if your looking in the abilities in the object editor its name is "Item Recall". |

Hey, I made this same *exact* spell! First, what I did was use Finger of Death as a dummy spell (set art duration to 0.01). Then have these two triggers: Event - A unit is issued an order targeting a unit Condition - Issued Order = Order(fingerofdeath) Action - Set Telekinesis[Player Number of Owner of (Ordered Unit)] = Target Unit of Issued Order (Telekinesis is a Unit Array.) Event - A unit Starts the effect of an ability Condition - (Ability being cast) = Telekinesis Action - Move Telekinesis[Player Number of Owner of (Casting Unit)] Instantly to Position of (Casting Unit) offset by 80 to the Angle between (Casting Unit) and Telekinesis[Player Number of Owner of (Casting Unit)] It looks good with the Art - Target set to Blink (Area). Throw in a sound, and you're golden. Edit: I think the Amulet of Recall will only ever allow Player Units to be transported, even if the targets are changed. |

Ive been trying to use item recall, it's the closest one to the one I want... BUT... no mater what "Targets allowed" I set, it only lets me recall my own units. Not my allies, not the enemies, just my own. :( |

What's wrong with the Finger of Death trigger way? |

Shvegait - your triggers work great. I just tried it out. I been looking for a good target object spell to base a dummy spell on. And Finger of Death is fine. It only has a TargertArt field which can be easliy be removed from the NeutralAbilityFunc.txt and imported in. Some of the other spells I have trired to use as a base such as Cripple and Shadow Strike, have a TargetArt and also a Bluffart. These 2 spells add the buffart icon to unit status icons (the place where the auras are shown). If you set the Buffart to nothing, you simily get the SmilingManFace icon instead. |
