Game Engine Question - Unit Limit

What is the limit on placeable units in WE, and what is the limit of units in the game? What about building limit etc?

I encountered the doodad one 2 days ago :(
Had to get my pruning sheers out.

(I ask this before I put in 200 spawn points... hehe)

goto the tools section, get No-Limits. Removes the doodad and placeable unit cap. I forget the numbers offhand...

Tools is the brush pallete settings...

K, got it, however, I still need to know if there is a limit for the actual game.

I mean, my map will have 100-200 monster spawners, spawning 4-5 monsters each. These will be infrequent, and dependant on whether there are already monsters there, or a player is close. The information would be most helpful.

Currently, I am looking at a possible population of over 1000 units. Is this going to cause any trouble in an 8 player game?

memory wise, and FPS wise (if there are a ton on the screen at a time) yes... otherwise i do not really forsee a problem. however wc3 most likely has a hardcap in the game. The best thing to do is if there is no player unit near a certin area, remove all the enemies from it.

or hide the units instea dof removing them with the hide unti trigger

no, hide will not help with wc3's hard cap on the units, or memory

oh i just thoguht you could hide to save lag and its easyier to unhide a unit than to recreate it.
