Tank wars! Multiplayer map of mechs vs tanks! Q: Has this map been released on bnet? Tested? A: unfortunately, no. The stupid w32.blaster.worm got into my comp, and me, being stupid, decided to reinstall windows. Now my poor registry is gone, and bnet won't allow me to log on. I'm getting back frozen throng (oops throne) soon to allow me to reinstall. Some problems... - Shadow. The shadow is too big. Well screw the shadow. - Sound. Sound plays when it shouldn't. Screw the sound. - Not enough units. Well, to be fixed. That's what patching is for :D if it's worth it. - The movement bug where if you hold forward and left/right, and let go of forward, it won't stop. Just let go of left/right and press it again. Not worth solving. Some problems I have no idea might occur - Score. Worked perfectly fine, but Things happen in multiplayer. - Respawning. Things happen in multiplayer. Q: What is Mechs VS Tanks? A: It is a multiplayer map for bnet that uses a new interaction and combat system. ummm... play it for yourself. Basically, you drive around in a mech or tank, shoot the opposing team, and are aided by a commander. Commanders are players 6 and players 12. Shooting works in a "straight line" where anything in front of you takes damage. You can sidestep your tank (wow!), move forward, turn on movement, turn on stationary, and without button mashing! (for movement). Controls: Arrow keys - Movement A & D - Sidestep left and right W & S - Fire forward and backward (backward? I dunno why it's here but I was too lazy to remove it) X - Fire your BFM (big flumsy missile) F9 - Check objectives. VERY IMPORTANT!! Well post all bugs here, I'll solve them asap. comments... blahblah |

Im gonna try it now.:ggani: I found no bugs but you need to give it a better terrain. The terrain seems empty. |

You say there isnt button mashing:hammer: ..... thats what this game seems to be all about.:hammer: 1) the person that can hit the sidestep and fire buttons fastest wins 2)if u just mash aaddaaaaddaadaaddadad no1 can hit you more than once at all 3) the terrain is really boring *howwever* there are easy fixes to these problems 1) make one shop per player that way you can incorperate cooldowns fort the cannon and sidestep(needed badly) 2) make the weapons alot more leathal insted of like 30 hits, make em go down in 5, but incorperate cooldowns(see 1) so the button masher doesnt become more domitate 3) place more defensive terrain, such as cliffs where you can sit ontop and fire away while makinging urslef a target as not to be un balencing anyways thats just my $.02 |

keke I said without button mashing only for movement :D And I doubt anyone can sidestep so fast. But as for the button mashing attacking thing, I won't look into it. I'll do it. I guess if it's really bothering then I'll make cooldowns. Awww... boring terrain... okay i'll try... terraining isn't exactly something i'm good at. As for defensive terrain, there ARE cliffs where you can sit on top and fire from. Some of these cliffs can be backstabbed, some can be frontstabbed, and your missiles can hit above these cliffs (even if you can't see it). Anyway, this was supposed to be something along the lines of a "team game" that's why I made it such that u needed lots of hits to kill, and the commander was there. Played online anyone? Is it achieving it's objective? So to sum up for myself, things I need to do: - Individual shops for cooldowns for sidestep and attack. - Make terrain not boring. Anyway I'm getting back my tft soon to repair my registry. |
