Messed up Mesh!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

I was working on my techno peasant skin, and the first time I imported it, the skin worked.
1st edited import screenshot:


But I now edited it some more, and when I tested it, it goes messed up. It looks like everything is in the wrong spot, he is wearing his pants on his body and has gold bags as his arms! My brother is a Half-Life and NHL skinner and he said the mesh might have gotten messed up. BTW, I also tried importing my old version one that did work but it also did not work.

Anyways I really want my skin to work because I have worked on it for some time and here is the screen shot of the messed up skin when I test it...

These are the steps I take when making a skin:
1. Extract skin with Image Extractor II and save it as a TGA file
2. Open skin in PSP8 or Photoshop6 and edit
3. Save edited skin as TGA again
4. Convert skin back to .blp file with WC3 Viewer
5. Use TFT Importer to Import skin

Please help me...

BTW this is the skin, It's saved here as a gif but I acually have it as a TGA. Again please help...

are you using the tft import editor? if so its buggy delete it from the map and reimport it. If that does work save open up the mpq and find the peasant. save it and copy your skin over it then flatten layers.

I already tried copying my skin over and extract of the original, still gets messed up. I even reinstalled Warcraft and it still doesn't work.

Even my old skin that worked now does not work...

Any more help on what I should do?
I really don't want my skin to go to waste...:(

That one is easy. Somehow when you convert the skin it gets flipped. That couldn't be a model mesh problem since it wasn't changed. Oh and it's nice your brother is a HL skinner, do you have samples of his work?

Hmmm, you are right
When I convert my file into .blp with WC3 Viewer it flips my image...
Now I though this could be solved, I fliped the TGA in PSP8 and then converted it to blp but the viewer still makes the transparent team colors go upside down. Thus it still looks wierd...

I think this is a problem with WC3 viewer or something, as I understand you helped create it. Do you know what could be wrong?

And while I do not have samples of my brothers work on my comp, I will ask him for some screenshots of his HL and NHL skins later....

wait so u put the model in and it automatically flips the the model basically have u tried to select the entire layout of the character and flip it upside down.

Just a hunch mabey it will come out right side up if not sorry i couldnt help i dont use the new wc3 image viewer 3.

If anything try saving it and stuff on the WC3 image viewer 2.

It's isn't a W3V problem. Just that PSP 8 DOESN'T WORK for skinning, remember that it's on almost all threads regading it.

Yes, but youll need the targa plugin to edit alpha channels.

PSP 7 works great just make sure u have the file in Tga.

Why cant u just keep the same skin and save it as a tga?

Even if it was another type of file u can just save it as a different type.

Hahaha TheProphet is incredible. He did code a way so that all PSP 8 TGAs (as yours) are flipped again when converting. This means: now you can skin with PSP 8 for war3 ;) That's very good news.
