I converted the "Item Damage Bonus" ability into a 3 level hero ability. +2, +4, +6. But even after resarching level 2 and level 3, the bonus armor remains at level 1 - +2. Are the data values for levels for L2 and L3, being ignored? tks Edit 1: I just manage to Finger of Death(item) into a 3 level hero spell and it work. May be it just the "Item ##### Bonus" abilites which do not work on more then 1 level? Edit 2: Just tried coverting "Item Hero Stat Bonus (+6 Aglity)" into a 3 level hero ability (+6,+9,+12). Guest what I can reseach it to level 3, but only leve1 +6 is used. Conclusion - the Item spell effecting stats can not be converted in more then 1 level, unless using triggers? |

Hi try this out in TFT WE for example. 0) Create new map 1) Right Click Item Armor Bonus (+1) and create new custom ability. 2) Call it Armor Bonus. 3) Change A000:Ald1:Item to 0 4) Change A000:Ald1:Hero to 1 5) Select another spell and then reselect new custom, so A000:Als1:Levels appears. 6) Change A000:Als1:Levels from 1 to say 3. 7) Change spell level data A000:Als1:DataA1 (Defense Bonus) to 5 A000:Als1:DataA2 (Defense Bonus) to 10 A000:Als1:DataA3 (Defense Bonus) to 15 8) Set the A000:Als1:Buttonpos X and A000:Als1:Buttonpos Y 9) Set the A000:Als1:Researchbuttonpos X and A000:Als1:Researchbuttonpos Y 10) Set A000:Als1:Art to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNBoots.blp 10) Set A000:Als1:ResearchArt to ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNBoots.blp 11) Create new custom hero 12) Delete existing hero abilities 13) Add the new custom spell Armor Bonus to new hero. 14) Hero on the map 15) Place some Tome of Power items in the map to, so he can level 16) Test Map 17) Research Level 1 Armor Bonus. 18) The hero panel will say Armor x+5 19) Use Tome and then research level 2. 20) The hero panel still says Armor x+5. Should say x+10. Where is the problem. I know I can create the same effect by creating a dummy spell and then just giving the learning hero the Item Ability each time when he learns the dummy spell. |
