Hi.

I have some questions to ask about my new project (closed rpg):

1) Does anyone know a good site about - or does anyone have - good hero models?
I'm still looking for:
- A cool and good-looking main character (Yeah, Main characters are allways cool and good-looking ... ;) )
I only had the choice between arthas and illidan. Well Arthas is too gay and Illidan is somehow too strange for a main character ...
- A good skin/model for Jaina (So she looks cuter. Maybe with red hairs and with changed eyes - those blue-glowing eyes make her look like a demon ... ¬_¬)

I would make those changes myself, but the image extractor for some reason doesnt run on my PC ...




2) This is the story - is it good or are there some ideas to better up?

Someday the princess of Ceypha (some magical kingdom you know ... XD) decides to play 'runaway' and leaves the castle at midnight. She wanders thorugh the country but then she gets lost in a dark forest. Well, she realizes that a strage guy (actually the demon-hunter-guy-main-hero ...) is stalking her. After the princess has been attacked by a wolf (of course the main hero had to rescue her ... I love all kinds of clichés ;) ) he tells her to leave the forest immediatly. Later they both are attacked by demons. Kira (this is the name of the main character) decides to fight them but he dont stand a chance. At the last moment his sister appears and help them.
The three go to a nearby camp. Some minutes later they decide to bring the princess out of this country by ship. She doesn't understand really why, of course.
As they reach the port a huge fire appears on a mountain (Well again the clichés ;) ). the capitol is burning ...
After they set sail the story begins: The princess is the reincarnation of marduk (Demon king in babylonic faith) and is needed to open the 'gate of infinity'. The gate is a connection between 'eden' (The world where the demons live) and earth.
Now the only choice is to bring the princess to a city protected by a 'seal gem'- Those gems creates magic circles to keep dark powers outside. Well the next city they reach dont has a seal-gem either, so they have to leave for the next town by goblin zepelin (looool). After emergency-landing they will be attacked by the higher demon Arrannuna (Don't think i creates those names. This is again from babylonic faith ;) ).
After a great fight he reveals the past:
A long time ago the demons lived together with the humans, but then the humans broke the peace-treaty and fought a war against them. They created high-level-magical barriers to keep them away forever. After the humans killed nearly everyone they gathered the rest of the demon-survivors and created the 'gate of infinity' to sent them to eden. (Well eden actually is the terrain set 'foreign land' so you can understand why they want to open the gate to invade earth again. ;) )
Well later the princess will be kidnapped and the ritual to open the gate begins. Well this would be no problem for the humans, because those demons aren't many, if they wouldnt be really pissed because they where thrown into the gate so they want to kill humanity ... XD
Well the story ends with a fight near the gate of infinity. The ritual is nearly completed and the heroes try everything to prevent zulummar (another babylonic demon-king) from opening it. Well I don't say here how it ends, but u can be sure there will be NO happy end ... ;)



The rpg is for 1-6 players and is completely dialog-based. You can talk to EVERY npc you see by right-clicking on them. (dogs too! XD)
if you do that a dialog pops up and u can choose multiple-choice-options. There won't be many of them, but i try to make enough.

Well the intro actually is 10 minutes long and the ingame-sequences won't be shorter, but i am really skilled with those cinematic events (Thats no my oppinion, but the one of guys told me that in Bnet ;) ).

Well I am still looking for spell ideas for a shapeshifter hero, a priestess hero and an assassin hero.

Please write comments to storyline!

This is the way you talk to people. You can talk to everyone you see, just like in Badlur's gate or NWN ...


Some changes of the map: The players can now choose between 2 or 3 class sets for each hero, so it's more replayable and tactical.

For the shape-shifter hero, give them various shapechanging abilities, for example, you can give them 3 abilities by modifying the bird and bear druid skills as hero skills, then another one as metamorph. For te 4th skills you can jsut use a dummy unit that has no effect (ie: damage nulled warstomp) and replaces the hero with a different unit. Some suggestioins for forms:
Were-tiger, Were-wolf, Yeti, Merman/maid, Ghostly transformation, Giant size, etc..

For assasin give em the following:
Anatomy Lore: Mod crit 10% always but x5 and upwards of standard damage +stun effect.
MOrtal wound- modified searing arrow that deals damage per second (melee or ranged, up to you) after initial damage
Zephyrs Rush- Modified crushing wave that moves character past/through [remove collisions!] enemy unit, and ends up behind them dealing massive damage
Cloak of shadows- ww mod.

priestess should have a few good healing spellls:
healing nova (neg damage, allow allied targets only)
Holy ward (ward with 2 abilities: neg life giving aura for enemies and pos life giving aura for allies)
Divine Strike- modified roc that casts several flamestrike like spells (white fire anyone?)
and ascension- metalike ability that activates angel form... flying, divine armor, etc.
thats it for now, storyline is a wee bit cliche but alright.

Since WE unlimited is released, I'm going to make a complete new map.
Mainly, the story and the characters will be the same, but I completely revise Intro and Game-design.

First of all I use 16 texture-datas than the old 12 ones. This allows me to use jungle-great-bricks, Ice (So now I have 2 snow-terrain tiles instead of 1, what will make the snow terrain on this map much more beautyfull later.) and jungle-sand (used in both desert and normal terrain.)

Also I will use some revised dialog and camera triggers (Since I can use arrays I can make that much easier to trigger).
Btw: Camera will be set to standart game-cam with a lower angle of attack and rotatable. This makes an end to anoying 3rd person cameras like in legacies, but will also add some more view for details than the standart game-camera.

@ Toxicseaweat and his staff: If you still want to be member, I send you the first version of the map if I am done with some general settings and stuff.

Can I join on the team? (If there is one)... I want to actually release a map (I can never finish, when I'm my own boss), be it mine, or someonelse's as long as I know I helped make it in some way or another. I actually can't really do much in the way of really helping. I can do skills the old way, which opens up some new doorways, but not many, now with WE Unlimited. I'm ok with triggers, I know every aspect of them, but I can't do JASS. I cannot do terrain too well, I'm not that creative. However, I'm a great problem solver. Half the time on the maps I'm making, I just stare at the problem trigger for a while, then devise this method to make it work. The next day I look at it again and I have absolutely no clue how in hell I could've come up with that solution. All that being said, I think my resume :D , is done. I COULD learn skinning/modeling, but I probably won't...

Now for the questions.

1. Is this going to be a normal campaign? Or is this going to be an RPG campaign like the bonus Orc campaign. Or is it just going to be a single map.

Actually that's THE question. It's all I wanted to know.

@ bolt: It IS allready done (I created a new thread for it. Look back some pages!).
Well, I brought it to an end, but some bugs are still left. Sorry for that, but I am really busy and don't have much time caring for the bugs in the version. Maybe you can fix them yourself? I only know two major bugs until now.

@ kewl: Marduk might be the name of the angel in sacrifice, but that's a coincidence. Marduk is the name of a god in babylonic faith. If you don't like the names, I can take names from norsk mythology also (Loki, Ragnarok, Erynyes, Odin ... and so on).
Whatever, I wanted to give the characters some meaning in their names.
Lugulabdubur, (what sounds very funny) is the name of a babylonic war-god. Enki, the name of the 'father' in babylonic faith and Zulummar, such as Aranunna are also names from that. Furfur, what sounds very cute, is also the name of a demon. There are hundreds of names I could select to use in my rpg. Also I will use some mythic names for the storyline.
The final dungeon with the gate of infinity (A huge tower with 20 levels in a vast and lifeless snow-country) is called Etemenanki, which is the name of the tower, that was used as idol for the towerwork of babel.

@ Eriond: It will be 6 player multi. We/I use the largest map size, to make it as long as we/I can. I use city terrain, so it won't be a problem to make dungeons on the same map. If it seems like one map isn't enough I will consider making a second one and using a password system to store the characters.

ATM we don't really need more staff, but I guess there can never be enough guys working on it. Maybe you can think of quests, puzzles, secrets and so on.

Edit: If you find out why my ATB-BS doesn't work if two players join different battles, I accept you are a good problem solver ... :ggani:
