Just thought I would clue the rest of the community in on something. The creator of "Guantlet: Dark End" who posts here as "TheBestofDaBest" got our AIM screen names and tried to convince us to "join forces" on Legacies: Tides of the Sepent and of course...give him an unprotected version of Legacies. After we both spent about an hour politely refusing his offer (we DON'T give out unprotected versions, and we DON'T add anybody to our team we don't know IRL), he started threatening to unprotect our map and distribute it. He did this of course, since it's now common knowledge thanks to the people who have posted exactly how to do it (he visits this site), and continued to update me as he let people on battle.net dowload it unprotected. He then of course decided to place tomes of power in the unprotected version he had made and start threatening to distribute passwords for level 20 characters (bypassing the encrypted code he apparently couldn't break). I just thought you all should know in case he tries something similar on any of you. |

The guy who made Guantlet: Dark End is nothing more than a person that found out how to put a few triggers together and make a game. The password system in that is soooo easy to crack it is just plain said. Legacies is by far a better map then the Dark End. I just wish you guys would make it so you dont have to have a locked camera view. Also the Dark End has no really story line, no quest, just a hack and slash RPG. So whatever he says just **** him. |

That loser truely is the most pathetic person I've ever seen. (sorry Mav, but even he tops you). I'm sick of all his claims that he has no proof of (see the Red Faction bullshit in the FPS forum for proof). Only losers do what he did and from now on, I propose anyone that ever sees him from this day forth, shall flame him and bash him for doing this to the FM team and probably others. :D |

There is a storyline and cenamatics I just never gave it out. (on seperate maps) What bil said is true. I don't lie and I don't care. Lets not start a flame war here im not posting to this thread probably anymore than to answer a few questions. I unprotected Legacies because bil pissed me off and that was immature of me and I apologize. I only gave the unprotected version to 3 ppl one of which will probably never play the map again because he says it's boring and the other 2 are outsiders. I'm not like I use to be :P I just lose my temper at times not much though. The main reason I wanted to team up with them was because I liked there idea terrain wise and was probably not going to start a new rpg or upgrade GDE's system of stuff because of my final 2 projects. Read the thread about the gauntlet dark end passwords its important what I said on them. I typed them before this thread you can go check. I came on this forum not long ago again just to update some information on what ill be making next. I know how easily gde is rigged which is something I cober in the post I encourage you to read. READ ABOVE its not flames or anything its an explanation of why I did it |
