Exorcism spell?

I'm trying to use the TFT Ability Editor to make a spell that will damage all the undead in a circular area (It's a throwback to the WCII paladin). I'm basing it off of Flame Strike, but how can I make it only damage the undead?

Under "Targets Allowed" click undead.

There is no "Undead" under Targets Allowed!

Hmmm...I would've sworn it was there...damn. Not really sure, Holy Light and Death Coil seem to be hard-coded to affect living/Undead differently, and other Undead-only abilities like "Unsummon" are just used on "player only" units to affect only Undead.

Damn. So there's no way to do it?

You could probably opt to use one of those other classifications, provided you're not using other units of that type. And wouldn't mind all of your undead being labeled as ancients, or something. Just a thought.

Good idea! I'll use "aincient" as the undead type. Now I just need the Notre Dame sound effect!

Using jass to make it damage undead only works to or triggers .

Triggers are too much work. :D Why do something difficult when you can take the easy way out? The aincent thing works great, I just needed to change a couple of strings.

Through Triggers:

Create a spell based on Infernal. Remove all allowed targets (so your spell doesn't cut down trees) and give it three different flying units as a summoned unit (for each spell level one). Add your name and other modifications.

Trigger:

Event:

Player (x) summons a unit

Condition:

Summoned unit equal to (spell level 1 summoned unit)
Summoning unit equal to (your summoner)

Action:

Set variable SpellLocation=Location of summoned unit
Remove summoned unit
Pick every unit in unit group (units in range 500 of SpellLocation) and do If (picked unit equal to undead = true) then (set life of picked unit to (current life of picked unit - 200)) else (Do nothing)

I've not tried it, but I made an Exdorcism spell based off Holy Light. it doesn't have an AoE target, just single target, but you can set targets to enemy, and then it will damage only undead units. Just change the area of effect to 300, or whatever.

Extract it from Warcraft II!

Unfortunately, my Warcraft II editing tools are gone off to The Great Big Hard Drive In The Sky. Anyone know where to get the old WarDraft? Or a WarIIBNE MPQ listfile? I have both kinds of Warcraft II (loong story).

I've got the file in Warcraft III sound version (better), if you need it. I required it for a Templar hero (a Stromgarde version of Paladin) for my campaign.
