Im currently trying to remap some of the sounds I am using in a map I am making, and I am trying to use this file (located in UI in the main .mpq), but it seems no matter what changes I make, the unit sounds remain as default. What the heck is going on here??

Elaborate some more, my dear fellow.

Okay, let me be more specific. I am trying to make the Watcher unit sound calls from the UnitAckSounds.slk sound like the Huntress (using the acks without the leopard noises) instead of the archer. I have replaced the sounds with Huntress acks, but when I add the .slk to my map, it changes nothing. I have tried adding "Unit Ready" sounds to existing soundsets. No success.

I also have tried changing the soundset used for the units in my map I'd like to sound like the Huntress (without the leopard) to, instead of using the Watcher, using another soundset. For example, the Hawk or the One-Headed Ogre. I then tried replacing the .wavs called by the Hawk or Ogre soundsets with renamed Huntress .wavs. This causes the unit, when trained, to make the correct, replaced .wav when "Ready", but if you click on the unit, it sounds like a hawk or ogre.

So, I'm not sure what's going on here, but I'm sure it's not working the way I'd like. Any ideas on how to get this to work? Can the most recent World Editor's Sound Editor help here? Many thanks in advance!
