HELP Please, i just downloaded a skin and cant import it into map.

Well i just downloaded a skin and i tryed to import it into my map using the Import Manager, i added the skin in and set a custom path, then i saved the map and restarted editor and i placed down the unit i wanted to have skin, unfortunately he didnt have the skin, any help would be appricated, Thanks.

are you sure the path is right? What unit is it and what did u put as the path?

the custom path u need is....

Textures\herodemonhunter.blp

And you don't really need help so don't but in such a small amount of time... :D

Still didnt work i set the path as Textures\herodemonhunter.blp like u said, but when i placed the demonhunter down, i got a Green cube with the message, Could not load file HeroDemonHunter.mdl

dont change the unit at all. import the skin then put the path over it. DO NOT CHANGE THE UNIT. dont touch the model either unless it comes with the skin.

I never changed the unit, its just a pure old Demon Hunter.

And still having problems it still shows the same Green Cube box instead of a demon hunter

ok do it like this. open up a new map. go to import manager. select herodemonhunter.blp go to custom path to Textures\HeroDemonHunter.blp then save and exit then open it again it should be there.

It didnt work, you know what, dont bother replying i give up its not worth the time and effort to do this in my opinion.

Well you could do it the old fashioned way (I've tried using the import manager too but it always came up short, and I'm skinning anyways and I find the old way much simpler.) Get TechMPQ once you open it up just click on Add/Replace files, and in the first field browse and select the .blp file, in the second field select your map, and in the 3rd paste in Textures\HeroDemonHunter.blp and voila! Your skin will be there unless you save (which means you have to do this everytime after you save your map or even test it, so if you want to see the skin in your map, follow the above directions and then open the map in WC3 without saving our testing it in WE.

No way, this works perfectly fine because I have a herodemonhunter in a map and I used the import manager. Attach the map if you don't understand how and I will do it.

Man.... you imported a ZIP FILE. What about extracting it first?
