sorry for the what is going to be the vaguness of this question but i am a total newb to editing wc3 maps.

i am however very efficient in 3d modeling and using photoshop so i am not totaly hopeless.

i was wondering if there were any detailed tutorials on how to re-skin the wc3 models. change what spells look like (ie: making chain heal red instead of yellow, make it do damage, and making it splash blood when it hits, that should cover everything :P)

and i do mean detailed !. again this may be to vague but if anyone can shed some light on any of this id be very greatful. thanks.

EDIT: i would also like to know if any tutorials exhist on making my own UI for ingame and are they viable to be used on bnet maps?

First of all, welcome to the forums.

To make Healing Wave do damage, go into (File...Preferences). and then check "Allow negative real values in the Object Editor". Then go into the Object Editor and select abilities. Find Healing Wave and set the Healing Value (something like that) to a negative value. Then change the "Art - Target" to a blood splat. And finally change the targets to allow enemies and not allies.

As to changing the color of it, I'm not 100% sure, but I believe there is a .blp of the healing wave missile. I think it is "ReplaceableTextures\Weather\HealBeam.blp". Change the color, import it into your map, and see if it works.

Good luck
