Well heres a sneak peek at my open RPG, hopefully all the eras will be this pretty, but il have to cut down on lag somewere.....(my heros pretty lazy eh?) for more info, check out my posts on the open or closed(sumthinf like that) poll thread (I would have used a poll but it wouldnt load that way) EDIT: hmm its not working right, oh well just blow it up to 2x, then you can see it |

Ok heres my 2 pervious comments from "Open RPG or Not?" Post 1: Im making an open RPG *WITH* buildable citys, but with a good twist. You may only make them in certain areas, and when you do creep will begin to try to raid it, unlike most other WC3 open RPGs where they dont even care because the way the spawing works once you build near thier home they stop spawning. In mine say a city spot is near a mountain with lots of gold... and kobolds. if u start to build and harvest the gold the kobolds will get pissed and frequently attack your city, I think this kind of idea will make the citybuilding aspect of open RPG once again a good one because you cant just start a city with no means to defend it. Post 2: Well, my terrain on MY open RPG isnt lacking but itle take a while( think legicys but with morre differnt types of terrain not just forests) it is also 3rd person, somthing ive thought would be sweet since a started making SC maps so long ago, and hoprfully my new town system wont make the town building so god-awfull as it is in most of them out there( if ya want to see what I mean look at my first post on this thread). Edit: I have also developed a new, yet very simple spawning system so that u cant stop creep from spawing simply by leaveing a peasent there after you kill the creeps. Plus they move around in their areas so you might just attack one forest troll, but then a few others might come to its aid.I also plan to reienforce cooporitive creeps( like trolls and kobolds) with a higher response range so they will come to help thier bretheren from farther away. I also plan to imptove the spawing system further and im exparementing with it. |

Yea, I plan to have 3-5 dungions including:that cave, an old mine shaft(Kobolds whohoo!) and a portle to some demon place(Im thinking this would be this hardest but best place to level) Well, now that my progress bar is running right I think ima start finishing up more terrain, witch will probally be my hard endevour as i am artisticly incompittent(EXTREAMLY) this terrain is gonna be hell, but once its done itl be awesome(I sure hope so!). P.S.: Ur Sweedish!?:mtk: im like 20% Sweedish(altho I hardly no a word of it hehe im not good with languages) cool! lol |

Hehe, yes I'm swedish. If you want someone to talk ideas with, then PM me. There aren't a lot of others that you can consult ideas with as me, hehe. Of course you have to be ready to take hard critisism if I believe it wont be liked by the targeted audience ;). (Uh, I demand no credits if you want to talk ideas.
