Rapid-fire Heros

Hi all...

Using the WC3 RoC World Editor, I am creating some custom heros for a map idea i had. I created a hero w/ a ranged attack (weapon type = missile), for my test, I created a 'Marine' hero using the melee blademaster as the base unit. I tried to make his attack look extremely fast, like if shooting a mini-gun or something, but, as it seems, the only way I can accomplish this is by setting the following "Combat - Attack" attributes (attributes not mentioned were left at defaults):

Attack 1 - Targets Allowed = None

Attack 2 - Attack Type = Normal (anything other than None works here too)
Attack 2 - Cooldown Time = 0.20
Attack 2 - Damage Number of Dice = 2
Attack 2 - Damage Sides per Die = 6
Attack 2 - Projectile Art = Troll Witch Doctor
(I used this to see it travel, since the rifleman projectile art just shows the explosion on the target unit, not the projectile in-flight)
Attack 2 - Projectile Speed = 900
Attack 2 - Range = 600
Attack 2 - Targets Allowed = Air, Debris, Ground, Item, Structure, Ward
Attack 2 - Weapon Type = Missile

Attacks Enabled = Attack 2 Only

Setting this generates the effect I am looking for, but the problem is that on the unit's in-game interface the damage section is missing, so i can't see damage stats as i level up or when i equip items like claws +15, etc... I tried reversing ALL Attack 1 fields w/ Attack 2 (copied the hero and reversed the fields, set attacks enabled to attack 1 only), then placed both units in game w/ 2 neutral targets that stay still when fired upon. Even though the stats for both of my heros are identical, the amt of damage over time is nearly tripled for the unit using attack 2 only (I had each one attack a different neutral target and watched how fast the neutral's life went down)

My question is this: is this a bug in the RoC editor, is there some other way to get this effect to happen, or would I just be better off picking up TFT and making my map with its editor instead?

I had the same problem with the damage display disapering.
I was using attack2 only also. but I moved everything to attack1 and then everything worked perfectly. (this was with the TFTeditor)

This thing about the damage being about 3times stronger on attack2 I don't have a clue on... Are you sure that the stats are excactly the same?

And to answer your final question. Yes, it is much better to go and buy TFT and make your map for that instead. Lost of new intresting triggers to make and an tone of new models.
