big noob problem

what all do you need to mdel and\or skin?
it seems whenever i download somethin like Image extractor or WinMPQ it dont work
btw do you even need WinMPQ for FT? or is that image extractor thats almost useless now?:mtk:

The programs came with ReadMe(s). Read them, don't just assume that you download and run them immediatly.

also, how do you import a model from somethin like 3ds into w3?

You must use a importer/expoer script that's under developement right now, so it's still buggy with some animation issues. You can get iot in the Wacraft Tools Forum.
