I am currently making an AOS, and ive been thinking of a new concept lately. Instead of just having all computer controlled units running all over the map killing each other i decided to isolate the "AOS" part of the map to the center of the map. Around the border of the map i placed creeps and quests for you to do as a side part of the map. So what do you guys think about this concept? |

it's not that different but it sounds good. |

I didn't really understand it. And if I can't understand it in words, how will the player be able to understand it? |

Not understanding. Doesn't seem too original, like a hero arena, but with some added "AOS" components. |

Ok let me explain it to you in other word. Theres a city in the center of the map. Thats were all the "AOS" things are taking place where you try to kill the enemy town hall. The extra feature is that you can leave the city and enter the wilderness where you can complete quests and creep around for experiance, items, and money so that you cna have better equipment and a stronger hero to better help your army defeat the enemies back in the center. |

EEeeeeh. It could be good, but wouldn't leaving town make you miss out on experience and gold, leaving you weaker than if you had stayed in town? Not to mention the advantage they will hold, as far as how close they are to your town hall. Seems a bit too spread out to me, and reminds me strongly of DotA before it sucked. |

Ever heard of Keys of Sealing? That's been done before. |

Yeah, Keys of Sealing too. I liked that map, but some of quests just weren't worth your time. |

Keep in mind that you will need the killing blow for money. Often times when using a hero with a slow attack you will hardly get any money cause the hero with a faster attack will take all the kills. Also the wilderness area is in general pretty small. Its just basically a little extra portion of the map surround the town. This gives you a chance to keep all the money and experiance from whatever you kill all to yourself. Also towers should be pretty strong so if you take a short trip out into the wilderness it shouldnt hurt your computers army at all unless the enemy is pushing one side with all there heroes. This is going to be way different of Keys of Sealing. You must admit that Keys of Sealing sucked badly because of its giant *** file size and lag during game play. Also they had tomes!!! All the quests were sorta incorperated with all the action going on so it was VERY easy for you to get jacked when trying to do a quest. Like lets say you just killed a tower thingie. It dies, all of a sudden an enemy hero runs by into battle and sees you right there. He just puts you to sleep and takes all the items that the tower dropped. So this in general should be a bit more simple and fun. |
