Another cliche skin~

This is my first skinning attempt, intended for Cassiel's and Windigo's Tides of Blood mod. I'm still working on her abilities and specifics, but I thought I would throw this out to get some constructive feedback from the community that (via helpful threads, tutorials, and kickass little programs) allowed me to do it in the first place.

The wings are inspired by Clotaire's angel skin, but please do not accuse me of copying - they are hand-drawn. The harpy "transformation" was a suggestion of Cassiel from Tides of Blood, though neither of us realized at the time how truly ugly the harpy is. I do not expect her to look great, and will not be working on her (the harpy) any further, but she is kind of fun to look at - or laugh at. =)

wow that looks good. Every time i skin that unit the tits are all over the place. The cape needs more shading. The legs also. The icon rocks. nice work! Oh yea wrong section

Hopefully a mod will toss it where it belongs soon. =) Thanks for the feedback, I was thinking the same thing about the cloak, but unsure what would look good...

the icon is very well done. one crit, portrait looks like she has a beard.

btw, did you know the way the cape wraps, you can give her wings using the alpha channel

Thanks! =) I agree, the portrait is a pain in the rear. I tried to smooth out the area next to her mouth in the hopes that it would get rid of that hideous shadow, but nothing I try works. She's naturally that way as the Warden model. >.<

And yes, there is a lot possible with that cloak, with only one problem - there is no "back" to this skin, aside from the cloak. If I make it transparent in the wrong place, her front is reflected on the back side. Still, it's definitely worth considering, if I handle it right. =)

As for whether or not I'll release it, depends on whether she's used in ToB or not. If she's not (and that's very likely) I see no problem with sharing.

That is the best warden skin I've seen. I suggest you alpha out her gigantic elf ears. First skin? WOW!

I would like to ask you how you made that icon, because it's very good. Did you model edit, because I don't see the wings and the long hair that are usually on the warden...and they are team color. (at least, I think it's the warden)

This is the non-hero Warden, A.K.A Assassin in the war3 files. It can be found under Units\Creeps\Assassin. She's quite a lot different from Maiev, so I can't quite take credit for so drastically changing the portrait.

If you were referring to the hero icon (that sits in the upper left when playing), that was drawn by hand (err, by mouse?) in Photoshop. I need a WACOM tablet. >.<

Humm actually you don't *need* a tablet (I never used or plan to use one), though for freehand drawing it must be a lot better.

About the skin is incredibly good for a first, can't see much that could be changed.

I'll move it to thet gallery anyway.

I only need a WACOM tablet because I am greedy, and it would make Photoshopping 10x easier (after I got used to using it, anyway). Christmas is less than four months away... =D

i should say this is the best warden/assassin skin i've ever saw. and to think that the warden's is the ugliest drawn (imo) among the wc3 unit skins and you made a beauty out of it. and it still is in a warcraft style of art. just alpha the elf ears and btw, there is a skin for dl out there that have the cape perfectly alphaed into a wing. just cant remember the site but i know its FRENCH.
