My stupid Excel corrupts SLK's, would this work?

I don't have a working warcraft 3 right now unfortunately, but would it be possible to save the SLK file, all the data, as another excel format to edit in, so it doesn't keep fucking up my data, and then when I want to use it, just save it as an SLK?

If not, someone please point me in the right direction to a working EXCEL. :reallyang

use a slk editor prpgram my excel does same thing

i use open ofice... it works: openofice.org (i think)

open office wouldnt work 4 me either

1. Would saving it as a different format then back to SLK work?

2. If not, I need another SLK editor.

@FyreDaug: Test it. In theory it should work.

I would get the same thing when I had to use Excel to edit SLKs, but only when I would leave fields blank. Also remove any comments you may have copied or created.

Mine does that too, but if i saved it as the ornginal file it does not. So I dont create a new file, I just press save over the old file.
