First of all I want to say that the wc3 mod community is a small part of the wc3 community, but it's all made of people who try to reach new limits all the time.

The wc3 Mod community is the core of wc3, because we are always look for new possibilities and ideas, and we are extending the life of wc3, and that is the key!

With the wc3 Mod community we have almost unlimited possibilities, but there is limits, and people are aware about those limits. People are asking questions about these limits. why..?
Why have the limits when we can extend the possibilities to a whole new perspetive and demension...

But the ONLY thing that stop us from that is Blizzard, they have drawn there lines and forced there shields. Why are you not lissent to the mod community! Why not bring us what we are asking for and satisfy us.

The community is stomped into the limits and can't break them, which usally lead them to invent new method such as 3rd party programs, hacks, mods of the wc3. I mean why should a regular person work with complex .slk files editing and other similar stuff to get such things to work. I mean people will always find another path or solution to get things to work.

But why not invent it from begin. Blizzard truelly have the capability to do this. And its would also improve the game overall in all aspect. What is really sad that the wc3 mod community has been underestimated, because its smaller and has less priority.

I mean look at a game such as NWN it has all the possibilities to HOST a Game server on there network with 100's of players, way more improved editor and even GM editor. The wc3 community is much bigger and more famous then the NWN community, still we are lacking of the mod possibilities and Blizzard wont react on them!

I share my view and perspective and are willing to fight for them, you can either agree or discagree, I am pleased to hear from other people and lissent there reaction.

With all that said, I think wc3 is a great game and are good, but we can make it better together!

Here is a list of what could be improved changed in the WC3 (editor).

- Many field has limits and to small value
- Max 5 abilities hero (its a joke or bad work)
- Multiple versions of spellbook. (more abilities)
- Upgrade editor (still bugged with custom upgrade)
- Buff Editor
- Safe short strings on b.net

I think Blizzard should give us ability to safe small text/variable strings on battle.net - that would improve and extend wc3 so much - Only Imagination is the limit.

Thanks you for reading this, all questions and views are welcome.

you have got to be on crack brugsy, blizzard didnt screw anyone, if they didnt make the files moddable then you wouldnt be able to have different spells or upgrades unless u had the mpq

anything short of them disabling full aspects of modding isn't "screwing us over" stop *female dog*ing, dont u think blizzard gets enough of it already?

I don't Bitch, I just say that Blizzard is lacking bigtime in the mod commmunity and thats a fact, you cant change that. They did left over some features on purpose which is meaningless. and why is people so hostile on this forum besides b.net

And about the MPQ accebility, if you read my post clearly it explain you that Blizzard is lacking off features in there editor, so people have to use .slk and .mpq editing. thats the whole point!

Maybe you don't agree with me but i stay strong with my facts and words.

Theres a spell editor in TFT. And by the way, Blizzard's games are among the most popular games ever played. They are one of the few companies that actually listen to their customers and take feedback very critically in the development of expansions and past games. They know what the player likes and try to make it as fun as possible so they can reel in your cash. If you think they are greedy, then you will never know the true meaning to business :D

TFT has the best RTS editor I've ever seen. Nothing comes close. Sure, there are things that could be cool if they were added, but try making Uther Party in Age of Empires II?

Finally, if you people don't stop saying bitch, this thread will be closed. Keep it clean. :D

haha sorry draco

Pen², i agree, a buff editor would be nice, but buff editing isnt very hard at all if u try it (altho buffs for custom spells would be wicked sweet!! plus if they did that, there would be a buff editor in the object editor)

also, opening an mpq file isnt very hard, u have to download a program and find out what some file paths are... seems very easy to me

btw, i deleted teh word u wanted ppl to stop saying from my post

Hmm the buff editing by using the MPQ extractor has some disadvatages:
- You can't make new buffs. If you rename the expiration timer of spirit wolf, all other units using this ablity will have the renamed buff, too.
- With the RACEabilitystrings.txt I can only change the name of the bufftip. Is there a way to change the bufftip informations, too? Maybe I only didn't noticed it yet ...

Brett Wood: Wait until the next patch comes out (not much longer), and then tell me if you still think Blizzard is trying to "screw" the modding community.

He posted that on the other thread. I don't see how anyone can not be thankful for how much Blizzard does for us.
