I am trying to make an item for one of my units that increases it's range. Basicaly, I'm looking for a LongRifle effect in an item, but it only seems to be available through Abilities? Can I get it in an item? Cheers Cata |

you can assign any ability to an item, look under the abilities field in an item |

Long Rifles in an upgrade not an ability. |

Not sure, but I think you might want Searing Arrows on an item. It has a range component, and you could just reduce the mana cost and bonus damage to zero. Of course, the range is fixed rather than being just a bonus to range, so it might not be exactly what you need. |

First get the unit and change The combat fields attack one Should be melee Attack two Is Ranged and Can target every unit. Set The attacks enabled field to Attack 1 only. Give the Hero an orb. Should work. |

Unit is NOT a hero... Unit is a rifleman that can already attack everything... I meant Upgrade, not abilitiy. I want to assign a number of upgrade's to some items... It's bugging me. There must be some way to do it, surely? Cata |

You apply a Item is manipulated, the item being manipulated equal to whatever item you wish. You then set your rifle upgrade to up one in the same trigger... It's one of the simpler things with TFT. Regards Dead-Inside |

yeah, but that would affect all riflement. I'm looking for unit specific, permenant item that increases range... I already have a system like that (power up item use) for purchasing extra supplies. :) Cata |

Barring there actually BEING a spell that will do this, and I will assume you looked, you could do what i talk about in this link: http://www.wc3campaigns.com/forums/s...threadid=21585 basically you have 2 units one with range 1000 one with range 1200 they are identical otherwise and you just use the add ability chaos to replace them. This should accomplish what you want. You might have to add a dummy spell icon as I dont know how you will actually be triggering this. Good Luck! |

IF it isn't a hero Why did you asked for an item? Well, the 2 units solution rocks, but you could also use the Trigger Add ability to give the unit the orb ability. |
