I just learned basic modeling v gMax, but when I tried to export my work (clicked on the bottom "Export selected as MDX...") i got the following message: (title:) MAXScript Rollout Handler Exception --------------------------- -- Runtime error: Feature not available: "fopen write mode" I folowed Arcuivie's Moddelling Tutorial exactly and I don't know what the error mesg means. Anyone having the same problem or even know any solution? Should I reinstall the MAX script or entire gMax? Or did I cause the error myself? Please help!! |

Guest | Use Dex script. KmK ' script is old and unstable IMO. I suggest to visit #Dex at irc.irchighway.net and follow the Topic ' link. It will lead you to Dex and a few guides. be certain to read them all before you ask questions; some of them might be answered already in those faq's. if you still have problems, ask for help in the channel.....IF those people are not AFK that is.... keep in mind that Dex is not 100% complete and doesnt support full exportations yet. ps: get Max if you have it and know how to work with it (and know how to get it working right). It offers more options and has a better export and import function (unless you want to port files that are only readable by Gmax) |

Gmax doesnt use the exporter, instead you have to press copy to listener, and go to your listener, you then copy all the text from the listener, and put it in a blank text file, you then change the extension to mdl, and there you are! Then you just use yobguls file converter to convert it from mdl to mdx, and you can use it ingame! |
