Hey all of you single-player RPG fans. The Frozen Throne version of Season of Uncertainty: The Dark Phoenix has just been uploaded here: http://maps.warcraftiii.net/maps.php?id=3749 Despite being over 4MB's the original version scored over a quarter million downloads (worldwide estimate) without the aid of Battle.Net. Folks, this map is worth it. This new version offers nearly every feature imaginable, and takes full advantage of the TFT WE's capabilities: -30 Level Heroes -1 Commander Hero, 3 additional core heroes who you meet during the course of the game, and 7 other swords and staves who you can hire. There are also several hireable mercenaries. -A plot that is more in-depth, more extensive, and less linear than the Blizzard Orc Campaign -A death system that rewards caution without the tediousness of re-loading or halting gameplay -Over 300 custom abilities, units, and items -Nearly all heroes have at least 3 customized spells. All spells exceed normal levels. -Artifacts and Elements are trigger driven abilities that you can discover through secrets, shops, or quests. -Several other features you can find at the link provided above. For multiplayer fans you can also find my recently released Resident Evil: Countdown map, as well as its features, here: http://maps.warcraftiii.net/maps.php?id=3595 Below are some Screenshots of the SoU RPG. Note that some statistics in them are manipulated so that I could take these quicker. 1) The Expedition Force's base camp 2) A marketplace in the town of Kuldren 3) The Hurricane elemental ability. Note that these tornado's use their standard abilities as well as motion/dmg trigger abilities that are not visible in a still shot 4) The Oracle (gives hints on quests, etc.) 5) Volcano elemental ability. It took a while to make this look as realistic as possible. If there is interest I will go snap some better shots. I took these before a class, so these are only a minor glimpse of the whole. |
