Guest | :( This must have an obvious answer, but I can't find it. I tried installing and running mpq2k, mpq2kgui, mpqview, and GoldenUrg's Trigger Update. I get messages in yellow text about errors from new variables after I install the trigger update when I load any map. I also can't seem to extract or even list files from war3.mpq by any way imaginable. Mpq2kGUI doesn't show any available files, and choosing war3.mpq from the file menu or using the button doesn't seem to work. Please help. |

Guest | What do the error messages say? Have you got a warcraft list file for your mpq viewers? If it opens with only one file "(listfile)", then extract this file and use load datafile to read it. Did you copy the storm.dll from your War3 directory? |

Guest | I installed MPQView and the other programs to the Program Files\Warcraft III directory. MPQView.exe, MPQ2kGUI1.1.exe and storm.dll, BlinkTriggerEdit.txt and BlinkWEUpdate.txt are all in the Program Files\Warcraft III directory. C\Program Files\Warcraft III\Units contains CampaignUnitFunc.txt, HumanUnitFunc.txt, UnitMetaData.slk, and unitUI.slk. C\Program Files\Warcraft III\UI contains TriggerData.txt, TriggerStrings.txt, UnitEditorData.txt, WorldEditData.txt, WorldEditStrings.txt, and WorldEditStringsA.txt. Hmm, actually I probably shouldn't have changed the name of the WorldEditStrings that came with the Trigger Editor Update to WorldEditStringsA. I had compared the size of the two versions and thought I should keep both. Sorry, that was idiotic. I'll move the old version from the Blink Editor and rename the Trigger version to the default. Yay, no more error messages for the Trigger Editor! Thanks. Unfortunately, I'm still having trouble with mpqview, so I'll list some more.. MPQView.exe is in the C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\. The folder C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\mpqview\ contains W3MListFile.txt and scdata.txt. I tried putting them directly in the Warcraft III directory, but this still seems to have no effect, or else I don't understand how to use the viewer. When I try to open war3.mpq with scdata and w3mlist in another folder, I find no available files. When I put both W3MListFile.txt and scdata.txt directly in the Warcraft III folder, the following happens: I open the archive war3.mpq, and the list of available files suddenly shows storm.dll; nothing more. What is wrong? I assume W3MListFile.txt is the right listfile, but it doesn't seem to work. |

Guest | I tried to extract files again using mpq viewer after reading some of the tutorials on the site. I opened W3mlistfile.txt as a datafile, and no available files appeared. I then opened war3.mpq, and the only available file was (listfile) . What is wrong? |
