Ok so i've redone parts of the Arthas model to make him less bulkier and just sized down the weapons and book. Now it exported find out of 3dsmax and i have both the MDL files here now for the original and the redone. My question is Which things do i copy from the new to the old? Is it just the geoset vertices or do i have to copy more? If anyone could answer this question it would be a big help TY =) EDIT: I changed the geoset vertices got it imported back to an MDX and used MPQ2k to add it to a map and well it still didn't work. Am i doing something real wrong? All i really did was size his sword, book and hammer down to 0 and some polygons on his hair so it didn't come down in front of his face. Do i also have to edit the blp file for it to show up? |

Did you check to make sure that the model path and file name is identical to the original? It won't use your model instead of another if the path doesn't exactly match up. Another thing you can do is edit the desired unit in the object editor to use the model path that you set up. If you don't want to overwrite the original model. Also, I am not sure if I understood you correctly but it sounded like you said you added polygons? You can't alter the topology of a model at all. You can only move vertices. You can't delete or add any geometry or it simply won't work when you get it in game. |
