I need help!

I dled the thing I read the readmefirst thing and this is my problem. I ran the setup.bat or w/e it's called. I read the next step and all the rest and absolutely none of it made sense. I know nothing about computers and I really couldn't understand it. Can someone please explain it to me in a more understandable fashion?

Run (double-click) the Install_DMMod.exe. If you get an error that says an .ocx is required, then run the setup.bat file that is inside the /NeedeCcontrols folder. Then run again the Install_DMMod.exe. If you get another error about "overflow", then simply move all the DM MOD files inside the Warcraft III Directory. Then run the .exe again and that should be fine.

You will probably just need to run the setup.bat and all the rest will work.

When I run setup.bat it says that it's a bad command or file name. Btw, ty for actually responding to this. I've been waiting for a response for like 2 weeks because this seems like it will be a really good mod.

Hum.. Could you post exactly what the error says?

I actually have 2 comps. The first one says something like searching for 0 files. Then it says mpq.control or something like that I don't know was installed. Then under that it said bad file name or command. On the comp i'm on now. If I click on it it opens and a split second later it closes. So I really don't know the problem.

Ok, then you're getting the common errors. Just scroll up 3 posts and read in detail what I posted about them. Do what I explain there and all will work.

I don't see any neededcontrol files. Btw, how come I never once saw someone make this game on B.NET?

Again? This mod can be played in bnet, and it IS played. But people plays it much more on Local Areas Network.
You don't seem to look into the things, dude. Look on it, there's a NeededControls folder in the DM MOD folder you extracted!

I didn't extract a DM MOD file........ Ok I missed something there and for a LAN I thought you needed to hook up computers. I'm confused.

1. Go download the mod
2. It's a .zip file, which means you have to extract it with Winzip or Winrar programs.
3. Once extracted, you'll have all the files in a folder called Dungeon Master Mod.
4. Run setup.bat file which you'll find in the neededControls folder inside the DM MOD one.
5. Run Install_DMMod.exe. If you get an error about 'overflow', then you'll have to move all the files & folders that are inside the DM MOD main folder to the Warcraft 3 path (c:\whatever\warcraft3)
6. Install the DM MOD into a map with the Installer and then, move the Installed map (there will be 2 maps, original and installed, so just move the installed one) to the maps folder inside warcraft3 folder.
7. Run Warcraft 3, select the map where you installed the DM MOD and play. (If you're trying it in singleplayer, you'll have to set up a CPU as a player at least)

It's all. If you have still more questions, I think I would not be able to answer them, cuz that's all what is needed to install and play the mod.

It's NOT a file, it is a FOLDER. You won't see it if you don't extract all the files first.

Ok I know I might be getting on your nerves but what am I supposed to extract?

Wait I think I got it. I extract all the map files labeled with DMMOD right?

I have no idea what just happened but for some reason in my maps folder in my wc3 has the dm mod installed on a map. I went to look at the list and the first thing it said is map with dm mon or something version 1.3. First of all, I thought this was 1.4 and second, I didn't do anything to put it on. I'm getting really confused. First I need help with it now this!
