I the little box thingy, select the race he is, and go to the custom tab. Their is a tab with melee, campaign, and custom; that's the one you want.

What!? That had remotely nothing to do with anything discussed on this thread. And your custom units are placed in the Custom folders, organized by race.

actually...there is an even easier way to find it, right click on the name of the custom unit in the object edit, select the "select in too pad" thing....and there u go...if not, make the
"placeable in map editor" = true

well...just like to point that out, since none said it above ;)

I stilll cant find him. He is a custom unit in the human folder when i go to the object editor. I made sure player red was a human but when i go to place him there is no custom tab.

Ugh! Its there!! Keep looking. Are you using the unit palette or the brush list? I would reccomend switching to palette for all purposes if you are using the brushlist. Its going to be in a folder named 'Custom'. Do what the guy above said if you still can't find it. Look harder!

Go to Layer > Units, then click the "Melee" pop-up box, then drag it down to "Custom", then choose the player you want it for, and the race the unit is, then click it and place it on the map. What's so hard about that?
