I'm creating a new spell (my first one) using the .slk and (race)abilitystring.txt and the other document also (forgot the exact names). I created the spell, made the data in the .slk and both .txt files for the race's root spell. I added the spell to a hero simply to test it. I save the map, and when I use the mpq veiwer to "Implement" the spell as told in this tutorial. No matter what I do I can't get it to work. The spell works in the editor but doesn't at all show up in the game, it is simply an empty slot. Any reasons as why it won't work? |

Now with the TFT object editor it is normally just easier to use that to make custom spells, unless you are trying to edit buff icons or images. |

My editor crashes whenever I go to Objects/Abilities, and I would also like to know how to make skills this way just for reference. |

Well, I had it installed in C:/Program Files/Warcraft III Vanilla (because of Warforge reasons) I renamed the directory to Warcraft III, and it still doesn't work. |

BTW, why is it when I add the folder C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Units (all the extracted unit files) when I load up the WC3 map editor and go to edit abilitys it crashes? |
