Norbo's War v3.0 will be introducing a more intuitive economy system based around virtual workers and virtual population. What I need help with, though, is figuring out how I should find out the total population of a player's civilization. So far I believe each house will be worth at least 1 citizen, at maximum 6. Each apartment complex (third tier form of house with some spiffy additions) will support at least 8 citizens, at maximum 40. Now, how should I modify the minimum so that it goes higher? Extra information: There's a total population value, a military value, an available citizen value (those who will willingly join the military), and a working value.. Total population = all virtual population. Military = all citizens that are military. Working = all citizens that are professionals. You won't be able to simply create any military unit without having an available citizen. If your 'out' of willing volunteers, your unit will not be trained. You can, however, force the other citizens into military with a draft.. That may hurt your economy if you run out of free people and end up drafting working citizens. |

the number of citizens could depend on the amount of food and ressources in the town, or on the power of your military thus, theyr safety. desty |

I could do the resources bit, having a bonus to population if your income is ridiculously high.. But there is no defined food variable. The map assumes the little virtual guys already can eat virtual food and don't need to go to any restaurants or farm for food. *edit* Also, since you get money from taxes, and your income is defined by taxes, and with this idea your population would be at least partially affected by taxes, it could become a little recursive... |

So this is a warcraft sim city? Cool. U should base it on units. Using variables and wat not, and buldings should be 6-12 while 1 unit is 1-5 pts. Every unit made adds +1-5 to your unit variable while all a building sets the building variable +6-12. If a unit dies then subtrace 1-6 and same with buildings but -6-12 |

It's Norbo's War. Not exactly a sim-city. But I apologize, I don't quite see how the point system would be implemented. |

Wait, is the point system going to be a score board during the game or the pt system at the end? |

Point system? I'm afraid I don't quite know what you are talking about. |
