How exactly do I get maps to connect, etc? do I need triggers? Also, can I somehow (PLEASE say yes...) import a custom unit settings pack into it? and how do I apply this to the maps? Basicly i cant figure out much of anything about it.... emote_confused |

To get maps to connect, you can use the "Game - Set Next Level" action. Give it the path to your next level, starting with the Maps\ directory or whatever other folder you've put it in. I haven't figured out how to get a campaign to have a starting map though! Very new at this... // Ligature |

The fields are blue because Blizzard did they blue ://// This lets you know if the changes in your map are from the campaign object editor or from the map object editor. I dont understand what you mean by "dont register". |

Well, I make a new unit in campaign unit editor, it shows up, and can be placed, but it wont appear when I actually run the map. |

When I test my campaign, I never do use the test map. First you have to add your map to your campaign and whenever you want to edit your map use the edit map option of you campaign editor. After adding you map, go to Loading Screen in your map editor, go to menu Edit --> add button and create a button with your map. For testing, save your map this will automaticaly save your campaign, then start War3 and go to Custom campaign and run your campaign. |

When you test a map, it is tested all by its lonesome, and campaign maps are tested separate from their campaign data. (It's a bug, Blizzard knows about it, and that's the last I heard.) So basically, Krakou has the best solution... you've just got to run your campaign in-game. BTW, while we're on the topic, did you know that if a player saves during a mission and then re-loads it, campaign-affecting commands like those to reveal missions on the campaign screen don't work? I guess Blizzard still has more than a few kinks to work out of this thing. Pray for a MapEd patch. |
