Is there a way to make an item give a damage bonus but not make it +dmg in green and instead have it build onto the base damage?
I would like to do this so that if a hero purchases a weapon (a sword for example) it will increase the base damage.

That would increase everything else not just the damage and would it not still be in green?
ie: +str = +hp and regen

In game constants you can make it so adding to STR wouldnt add regen or HP... this really is the only way to add dmg like that.

What does it matter if it has it in green or not. I thought the green was already +base damage, so you cant do any less then your base damage +green, or max damage +green...

Use the ability called Item Permanent Damage Gain. It will add to damage without green numbers.

is there a way to do this without making the item with the ability have to be used? (so it can be dropped and they lose the extra dmg)
